Make Something Different Out Of The Trend!

You all are aware of the whipped coffee aka Dalgona Coffee, which was in trend back in 2020, and probably have  tasted it too. So, today I'm here to tell you how you can relive the trend but in a different way!

We  are  going  to  make  a  DALGONA  COFFEE  CAKE!  Yep, you heard it right.

(don’t worry if you do not have an oven at home, or if you are a vegetarian, because neither do we need an oven nor eggs for this recipe)

STEP 1: PREPARING THE CAKE TIN

Take a tin bowl(your preferred size)  and grease it with oil ,then put a butter paper and grease  some oil over it once more, and keep it a side.

STEP  2: PREHEATING THE PAN

Preheat a pan with a stand inside it (cover it) for 10 mins in low flame.

STEP 3: PREPARING THE BATTER

You'll  need the following ingredients-
  • 1 and a half cup flour
  • A little more than half cup sugar
  • 200ml milk
  • 50ml refined oil
  • 1/4th  cup cocoa powder
Mix these all in a mixer to form a smooth batter.  After that transfer into a bowl.
Next, add few drops of vanilla essence and add 1tsp of eno into the batter. To activate it add 1tsp of water to the eno ,then mix in cut and fold method with the batter.

STEP 4: PREPARING THE BATTER FOR BAKING

Pour your batter into the greased tin and tap to release bubbles if any.
Then put it inside the preheated pan over the stand and cover it. Let it bake for 35-40 mins in low flame.
After the mentioned time. Check on the cake if it is ready, using a toothpick. If there is no batter on the toothpick after pricking it in the cake then it is ready. So take it out from the pan and let the cake cool down for a bit.

STEP 5: PREPARING THE FROSTING

Meanwhile the cake cools, take 2 and a half tsp coffee powder , 4 tsp powered sugar and 4 tsp hot water , mix them the way you do to make dalgona coffee. Or simply keep on mixing it till you get a thick creamy mixture.

STEP 6: THE FINAL PROCEDURE

After you are done with the dalgona mixture and the cake has also cooled down, slice out the upper layer of the cake and frost the cake with the dalgona mixture.

And there you go. It’s done.
You can decorate it if you want in any other way , for example putting chocolate flakes over the frosting.
